I was inside a large three-dimensional garden we were living in and we were colorizing our own world. I couldn’t get vibrant enough color. We were painting or coloring hydrangeas in this giant garden and we’re taking turns coloring them. And I couldn’t get the color of blue that I wanted in my hydrangeas. They were more just like this pale grayish purple. And I kept looking and trying to find the more vibrant blue stormy blue that I wanted, and I couldn’t find it and people kept telling me it’s fine. The purple is fine. It’s still beautiful. But I kept saying no no no no needs to be more. Vibrant needs to be more compelling or I’m not gonna win. I don’t know if it was a contest, but there was definitely some level of judgment that I was worried about
Dreams about color and creativity often reflect your emotions, self-expression, and desires for authenticity. Here’s an interpretation of the various elements in your dream:
Three-dimensional garden: Gardens symbolize growth, creativity, and the potential for personal development. Since it’s three-dimensional, it may suggest that you feel your life or a particular situation is complex, with multiple layers and dimensions to explore.
Colorizing your own world: This could signify your desire to bring more vibrancy and joy into your life. The act of coloring the world reflects your wish to enhance your experiences, perhaps wishing to reshape your reality or express yourself more vividly.
Hydrangeas: These flowers often symbolize gratitude, apology, and understanding. They can also reflect the idea of nurturing relationships or aspects of yourself. Your focus on hydrangeas may indicate that you are trying to cultivate something meaningful in your life.
Struggle for vibrant blue: The specific struggle for the vibrant blue color might represent feelings of inadequacy or dissatisfaction with your current situation or self-expression. It suggests a longing for a deeper, richer emotional experience or for greater recognition of your talents.
External validation: The presence of others telling you that the pale grayish purple is fine suggests a conflict between internal desires and external validation. You might be dealing with pressures to conform to societal expectations or the opinions of others, leading to feelings of inadequacy.
Judgment and competition: The sense that there was a contest or judgment reflects underlying anxieties about performance, creativity, or comparison. You may be worried about how you measure up against others or fear that your contributions are not being valued.
In summary, this dream may express your desire for more vibrancy and authenticity in your life while also revealing insecurities about your self-expression and the need for validation from others. It might be prompting you to explore what truly makes you feel fulfilled and encourage you to embrace your unique colors, even if they may not match exactly what you envision.
